Available Permission Types

Permissions marked with (root) are permissions that can only work for all customers by design. These permissions can only be assigned to roles that include the Root customer. See also Permissions.

Common

Administrator Functions (root)

Allows to perform functions, view and change data related to Avantra Administration. For example see internal warning messages (in the Status Area).

View Properties

Allows viewing the component properties.

View Users

Allows viewing {Customer} representative Users. Customer representative users are the Users linked to the Customer the Permission is defined for, or in other words, users having the _Customer Representative role assigned. Please note: Users having the View Users Permission are not necessarily Customer representatives themselves. So they might not see themselves in the list View Users. Every user has the Permission to modify his own profile in MyProfile.

In addition to View Users, it allows to modify or delete existing Customer representative Users.

Systems

View Systems

Allows viewing Servers, SAP Instances, SAP Systems, and Databases, as well as to compare profiles and components.

Allows to view and delete Servers, SAP Instances, SAP Systems, and Databases.

Allows viewing Servers, SAP Instances, SAP Systems, and Databases data and to add, modify, or remove Monitoring Parameters.

View Maintenance Window

Allows viewing Maintenance Window and Schedules.

This Permission can be assigned on a per Customer level. It will be inherited in case a Customer hierarchy is used.

Edit Maintenance Window

In addition to View Maintenance Window, it allows to modify or delete Maintenance Windows, add Schedules to Maintenance Windows, etc.

View SLA

Allows viewing Service Level Agreements.

Edit SLA (root)

In addition to View SLA, it allows to create and delete Service Level Agreements, and to assign Service Level Agreements to Systems. It also includes the Permission to view and create Service Hours.

This Permission can be assigned on a per Customer level.

Send to Agent

Allows sending commands or configurations to Avantra Agents.

Factory Reset

Allows you to reset the Avantra Agent, that is, stop the running Agent, remove configuration files, delete the local agent database, and start the Agent again. If you delete a Server, a factory reset will be executed automatically in the background during the deletion of that server.

Monitoring Configuration

View Parameters Sets (root)

Allows viewing Parameter Sets.

Edit Parameters Sets (root)

In addition to View Parameters Sets, it allows to modify existing Parameter Sets (e.g. adding or updating parameters, changing priorities, activate and deactivate, etc.) as well as to create new ones.

View Custom Checks

Allows viewing Custom Checks.

Edit Custom Checks

In addition to View Custom Checks, it allows to modify existing Custom Checks or to create new ones.

It does not allow to create, modify, or delete the CCMS Configuration for a CCMS Custom Check. The Configure CCMS Permission is additionally required in this case.
