Permissions and Roles

Permissions marked with (root) are permissions that can only work for all customers by design. These permissions can only be assigned to roles that include the Root customer.

Common

Administrator Functions (root)Allows to perform functions, view and change data related to Avantra Administration.
View PropertiesAllows viewing the component properties.
Edit PropertiesAllows viewing and modify the component properties.
View Logbook (root)Allows viewing the Logbook.
View Shared FavoritesAllows viewing shared favorites.
Create Shared FavoritesAllows creating shared favorites.
Create Shared DashboardAllows creating shared Dashboards. See Adding new dashboards.
Edit Shared DashboardAllows editing shared Dashboards. See Adding new Dashboards.
View License detailsAllows the user to view the license details and consumption information without granting an administrator role.
View PasswordsAllows viewing passwords defined for various entities (SAP systems, databases, credentials, etc.).
Credential ViewAllows viewing shared credentials.
Credential EditAllows editing shared credentials.

RealTime Monitoring (RTM)

View RTMAllows viewing RealTime Monitoring pages.
Confirm RTMAllows to confirm RealTime Monitoring Checks.
View Business Service OverviewAllows viewing the Business Service Overview pages.
Delete CCMS AlertsAllows to view and delete CCMS Alert entries.
Edit Check SelectorsAllows to view, modify, and delete Check Selectors.

Daily Checks

View Daily ChecksAllows viewing Daily Checks.
Edit Daily ChecksAllows to view, confirm, modify, and delete Daily Checks; implicitly includes Edit Daily Checks.

Availabilities

View AvailabilitiesAllows viewing availability data.
Edit AvailabilitiesAllows to view, modify, and delete availability data; implicitly includes View Availabilities.

Tickets

View TicketsAllows viewing tickets.
Call TicketsIn addition to View Tickets, it allows to create and modify tickets as a caller.
Own TicketsIn addition to Call Tickets, it allows to create and modify tickets as an owner.

Changes

View ChangesAllows viewing Changes.
Edit ChangesIn addition to View Changes it allows to create and modify Changes.
Delete ChangesAllows to delete Changes.
Approve ChangesOnly Users with this Permission are allowed to set the status of the Change from planned to processing.
Approve ImplementedOnly Users with this Permission are allowed to set the status of the Change from implemented to done.

Customers

View CustomersAllows viewing Customers.
Edit CustomersIn addition to View Customers it allows to modify an existing customer Customer record.
Delete Customers (root)Allows to view and delete Customers.
Create Customers (root)Allows to create new Customers.

Users

View RolesAllows viewing User Roles.
Edit RolesIn addition to View Roles it allows to create and modify Roles.
View Groups (root)Allows viewing User Groups.
Edit Groups (root)In addition to View Groups it allows to create and modify User Groups.
View UsersAllows viewing Customer representative Users. Customer representative users are the Users linked to the Customer the Permission is defined for, or in other words, users having the Customer Representative role assigned.

note
Users having the View Users Permission are not necessarily Customer representatives themselves. So they might not see themselves in the list View Users. Every user has the Permission to modify his own profile in MyProfile.
Edit UsersIn addition to View Users, it allows to modify or delete existing Customer representative Users.

Systems

View SystemsAllows viewing Servers, SAP Instances, SAP Systems, and Databases, as well as to compare profiles and components.
Edit SystemsAllows to view and modify Servers, SAP Instances, SAP Systems, and Databases data and to create Servers, SAP Instances, SAP Systems, and Databases.
Delete SystemsAllows to view and delete Servers, SAP Instances, SAP Systems, and Databases.
Edit System Monitoring OffAllows viewing Servers, SAP Instances, SAP Systems, and Databases data and to turn monitoring on or off.
Edit System ChecksAllows viewing Servers, SAP Instances, SAP Systems, and Databases data and to enable or disable Checks.
Edit System Monitoring ParametersAllows viewing Servers, SAP Instances, SAP Systems, and Databases data and to add, modify, or remove Monitoring Parameters.
View Maintenance WindowAllows viewing Maintenance Window and Schedules.
This Permission can be assigned on a per Customer level. It will be inherited in case a Customer hierarchy is used.
Edit Maintenance WindowIn addition to View Maintenance Window, it allows to modify or delete Maintenance Windows, add Schedules to Maintenance Windows, etc.
View SLAAllows viewing Service Level Agreements.
Edit SLA (root)In addition to View SLA, it allows to create and delete Service Level Agreements, and to assign Service Level Agreements to Systems. It also includes the Permission to view and create Service Hours.
This Permission can be assigned on a per Customer level.
Send to AgentAllows sending commands or configurations to Avantra Agents.
Factory ResetAllows you to reset the Avantra Agent, that is, stop the running Agent, remove configuration files, delete the local agent database, and start the Agent again. If you delete a Server, a factory reset will be executed automatically in the background during the deletion of that server.

Monitoring Configuration

View Parameters Sets (root)Allows viewing Parameter Sets.
Edit Parameters Sets (root)In addition to View Parameters Sets, it allows to modify existing Parameter Sets (e.g. adding or updating parameters, changing priorities, activate and deactivate, etc.) as well as to create new ones.
View Custom Check ConfigurationsAllows viewing Custom Checks.
Edit Custom Check ConfigurationsIn addition to View Custom Checks, it allows to modify existing Custom Checks or to create new ones.
It does not allow to create, modify, or delete the CCMS Configuration for a CCMS Custom Check. The Configure CCMS Permission is additionally required in this case.
Configure CCMSAllows to create, modify, or delete the CCMS Configuration for a CCMS Custom Check. Edit Custom Checks is also required in this situation.
View Composite Checks and Business ServicesAllows viewing Composite Checks and Business Services.
Edit Composite Checks and Business ServicesAllows to edit and delete Composite Checks and Business Services.

Service Level Reports (SLR)

View SLRsAllows to view and download Service Level Reports, and to view SLR Remarks.
Edit SLR TemplatesAllows edit Service Level Report Templates.
Edit SLR RemarksAllows to create or modify Service Level Report Remarks.
Delete SLRsAllows to delete published Service Level Reports.
Generate SLRsAllows to generate Service Level Reports.

Notification

Receive Notification MessagesWhen the permission is active, user can be added as Notification recipient for Email Notification channel. Make sure that both the user and the Email notification channel should be assigned to the same Customer.

View DocumentsAllows viewing published Solution Documents that are not restricted to a specific Customer.
Edit DocumentsAllows editing Solution Documents and viewing published Solution Documents that are not restricted to a specific Customer.

Agent

View Agent Updates (root)Allows viewing Agent Self Updates logs and status.
Trigger Agent Updates (root)In addition to View Agent Updates, it allows to trigger Agent Self Updates.
Download Agent Log FilesDownload the agent log files. If you open a ticket at Syslink support, Syslink support might ask you to download the agent log files for detailed problem analysis.

Automation

Start/Stop SAPAllows to start and stop SAP Instances and SAP System (manually, within a Maintenance Window, and from a Notification Action). See Starting and Stopping of SAP Systems and Starting and Stopping of SAP Instances.
View AutomationsView Automation used to execute automated start/stop jobs.
Edit AutomationsEdit and create Automation used to execute automated start/stop jobs.
